I was having the same problem with the LG W2452T monitor and Windows 7 on my Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop. I originally had Vista but upgraded and the monitor would no longer be recognized. I went to the Dell website and downloaded - nVidia GeForce 8400M - driver for Vista and it fixed my problem. Here's the link.
